Though it may seem impossible, energy can be quantified; that is, it can be measured. The unit of measurement is the quantum, which is, by definition, the smallest measurable size of energy. The German Scientist Max Planck has defined the dimension as roughly 10-35m. We believe this to be the minimum characteristic length that space can have. The size of our universe is roughly 1026m, depending on how you measure it.
To demonstrate this, I have inserted a video to give you a practical understanding of the the dimensions being displayed from largest to smallest.
Within these two extremes of the smallest particle known and the vastness of the universe, there are two islands of minimal complexity - positive and negative.
One quantum is a wavelength starting from a centreline lifting out to a maximum to one side. It then returns past the centreline and extends into the opposite side with exactly the same intensity. In nature, there is no attribute for the left side being positive and the right being negative. Both sides just are and are interchanging permanently. Every wave is symmetrical on both sides of the centreline, as shown in the following diagram.

If one quantum is known to be the smallest measurable size of energy and it contains both a so-called positive and negative side, then perhaps we can conclude that all of matter has to contain the same positive and negative polarity. Try to think of it this way: If you observe a magnet, you will see that it has a positive end and a negative end. If you break the magnet exactly in half, you will find that you also have a positive and a negative end in each of the halves. It does not matter how long you continue this process; it will always be the same. Thus, you cannot remove this positive/negative duality from anything or anyone. Duality will always exist.

All things are made of multiples of the basic unit of energy - the quantum. Each person carries within him this duality and therefore must contain both a positive and negative side. This occurs within the physical realm, of course, but also in the metaphysical realm. We all have the capacity to be kind and cruel; happy and sad; or generous and greedy at the same time.
Contemplate on this for a while.
It is the basis of many conclusions on this website and one of the most important building blocks in all my thinking.
Nothing is solely one-sided. Nothing is good or bad. An object or being is both - at the same time and to the same degree. We simply decide to see only one side.
This is the case especially when we are in love with someone. We only see the good. We are so blind that everyone else around us can see the negative points, yet we are oblivious to any of them because we are so addicted to the good that we refuse to see the bad. But as we all know, the pendulum - which will be introduced in another article - will swing back to the opposite side in due time, and that is only when we will see the bad.
It is not good first and then bad. We only decide to see the good first and then have to look at the bad at a later stage. Both sides are there right from the beginning. And when we are aware of that, we can see the perfection of the universal play.
